"Superb"
My wife and I booked this hotel for a one night stay using my SPG points. We were heading to the Bavarian Alps and as our flight was arriving fairly late in Munich, we decided to spend a night at this hotel and continue into the mountains the following morning. Our expectations of the hotel were relatively low. However, I can honestly say, that of the 30+ hotels I have stayed in this year, this was undoubtedly the best.
While the outside of the building promises little, the inside is very different. The lobby area is extremely spacious and there was no shortage of check-in staff at 9pm on a Friday evening. The staff were also very helpful and welcoming.
Our stay started well when we were upgraded to a suite on account of my Platinum status with Starwood. This was extremely well appointed - nice furnishings, comfortable beds and lots of space.
We ate dinner later that night at Die Emte vom Lehel. The food was superb and the service was wonderful. The atrium location also added enormously to the experience.
The following morning, we had a very good breakfast in the Club Lounge. While the quality of Club Lounges in Starwood hotels is generally quite high, this was particularly good.
We were enjoying the experience so much that after a morning sightseeing in Munich, we came back to the hotel for lunch in the cafe area. This was also very good and we very reluctantly checked out of the hotel at 3pm to continue our journey.
While we were less than 24 hours in the hotel, the whole experience was superb. This is a hotel that I can't wait to revist in the future.

"Great Hotel!"
The breakfast buffet was most impressive, and lunch in the lobby was served with care and again in excellent time. Agreed there is not a lot to do in the environs of the hotel but taxi's are a plenty and its only a short hop into Munich centre where I have to add the shops are fantastic!!- would I stay here again, yes absolutely

"Pleasant stay at the ArabellaSheraton Grand Hotel"
My sister and I stayed at the ArabellaSheraton Grand Hotel for three days during our trip to Europe. We were satisfied with our stay. Since I booked the hotel with a special deal on the Starwood Hotels website, they put me in the Garden Wing, but I had no problems with the room. In fact, if the Garden Wing is as nice as the main tower, I'm sure the main tower rooms must be exceedingly nice. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the Arabellapark U-Bahn station and you can get to the main parts of town in 7-10 minutes. The front desk was very helpful when I needed information on how to get to certain places. I would absolutely stay here again.

"One of my fav. hotels in Germany"
My wife and I spent only one night at the Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel in Munich (during Oktoberfest), but we both wished that we could have stayed longer!
First of all, would I pick this hotel again over other properties in downtown Munich? - Definitely, the facilities of the hotel are great and I can only agree with the other reviewer that the hotel is in a more "peaceful" location compared with the hectic (and somewhat dirty) area around the central train station. - We also spent two nights at the Maritim Hotel (located near the train station), which did not compare at all.
Since I had reserved an Executive Room, we were personally greeted by an associate manager of the hotel (in a seperate check-in area) who was extremely kind, but yet efficient with the check-in process. Before I knew it, a bellhop had picked up our luggage and was ready to show us the way to our room.
We received a room on the top floor (22nd floor) with an amazing view over Munich. In the distance, we were able to see the top of the Frauenkirche and the lights of the Oktoberfest rides.
The room was nicely furnished and in spotless condition. Moreover, the maid had left a fruit basket and water for us - a nice treat. The bathroom had double-sink vanities, a bathtub, and a seperate shower. We also had bathrobes and sandals in the bathroom.
Since we had just arrived from a long flight from the U.S., we decided to grab a bite to eat in the executive lounge. The lounge is located on the 21st floor. It offers the same kind of breathtaking view that we had from our room.
The food available in the lounge consisted of appetizers (yummy!), an array of cheeses and meats, fruits, and various desserts. In addition, the staff was very attentive and happy to get us several Hefe-Weizen (Paulaner!).
After we had left the lounge, we decided to go for a swim in the hotel's pool. The spa facilities are great - the pool has a hot tub build right into the middle of it and the lounge chairs have nice thick cushions (in which it is easy to nap). Furthermore, the spa has a steam room and a sauna - which I really enjoyed after a long flight.
Later that evening, we had dinner at the Paulaner's Restaurant. Try the Nuernberger sausages with sauerkraut - yummy! Overall, the Paulaner's restaurant is a great place to go for a beer and good Bavarian comfort food.
The following morning, we went back to the lounge for breakfast - which consisted of a large continental buffet that included smoked salmon, eggs, and sausages.
In hindsight, I can say that the service of the staff was excellent and the facilities of the hotel outstanding.
Next time we are in Munich, we will pick this hotel for an extended stay!
