Very central to shopping. First arrived,eldery man at reception was very helpful with maps, sightseeing excursions etc. The lobby was extremely small. There is one small lift - u can just about squeeze 3 people n 3 suitcases into it! We were on first floor, room 104, at back over looking the theatre. Room was very large and spacious. Beds comfy. The bathroom was excellent. There was no tea making facilites nor any mini-bar. There was a table with a few drinks and bars sitting on it! The mini-bar did arrive Friday evening but was not plugged in so it could not be used. Restaurant for breakfast and dinner was downstairs. Breakfast was satisfactory if you like lots of different breads. There is also hot food if he make it down early i.e. before 8.30. The hotel is very centrally located to the shopping district but it was hard to find a nice restaurant that had english speaking waiters. Also didn't find any pubs but i'm sure there is a street full of them. We were there mainly for the xmas markets and shopping which was fantastic. I would defo go back again and stay in the same hotel. We didn't get a chance to go to the theatre attaching but i would recommend it.

Great Hotel This is a great non-chain hotel in the historic centre of Munich. It feels like a home from home. It is hard to get a room at most weekends as German families stay here when on shopping trips. They have a good italian restaurant in the lobby.
