"The food was excellent" The bar staff was very friendly. The conceirge was very helpful. The food was excellent. Convenience to the train. The maid didn't leave enough coffee and creamer for my morning coffee.

"The place to stay in Munich!" The Hilton Munich City, helped make my day in Munch, so very nice. This hotel is much more the average then some have posted. The location is wonderful, there is a sub way station under the Hotel, but you can also walk to the city center in like 5 min. The walk is in the heart of the action. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are ABOVE European average, the size is nice, and the bathrooms are also very nice. My room had a heated mirror so there was no steam up when I was in the shower. The bed was cozy, and the view was also nice. I did stay on the executive floor with access to the lounge. The lounge was nice, and the staff was very helpful. It was not the best lounge I have been to but very nice. The breakfast was European in the lounge, I personally like it, but if you are looking for eggs and bacon, you have to go to the restaurant. The free drinks (open self service bar) in the lounge was nice. The rate of 99 Euro was also a deal for a downtown big city location. The city of Munich is so fun and wonderful! The Hilton Munich city was a bonus to my time in Munich. The staff, were all very nice, and you could tell wanted to be there for the guest. The stuff went above and beyond to help us find a pharmacist open on a Sunday (everything is closed on Sunday in Germany). They found one, gave us spot on directions and we got what we needed! The underground parking was also a deal for Munich, and the hotel is in a safe area, but really 99% of Munich is safe!

"Perfect for a family break" I stayed with my family ( husband and two teenage children ) at the Hilton for 5 days at the end of May. We chose the Hilton ( I have stayed at the Torbrau before ), because f the great rate we got on the Hilton website. With teenage children, hotels can be tricky as you don’t necessarily want them in your room but you want them very near by. The Hilton gave us two interconnecting rooms, and the room for the children was half price. Our room was 116 euros and the kids was 58 including the buffet breakfast ( which should have been 20 Euros each ) – this was fantastic value. The communication with the hotel by email before we arrived was all excellent. We had also decided that we didn’t want to hire a car whilst in Munich, and the Hilton was very well located for this. It could not have been easier to get to from the airport, and to get around central Munich, it was easier to get on and off the S-Bahn, than finding parking spaces whenever we went out. We were also able to walk easily in to town, to the Volksbad, and to the Museum. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, and the rooms was clean and bright. The TV had about 30 channels in a number of European languages ( and had the BBC news channel which I prefer to CNN – which it also had ). The hotel also booked our tour to Neuschwanstein and Lindenberg castles ( highly recommended ) – and the coach picks you up at the hotel. Whilst in Munich we took a day trip to Salzburg, using the local train system. We also went to the Englisher Garden. In the evenings we ate at the Ratskeller, a local Italian restaurant, and on the last night we went to the Hofbrau House ( an experience not to be repeated ). This was a fantastic vacation. Munich is a wonderfully accessible city. It has plenty to see and do and is also very clean, very safe and very friendly. Our two teenagers were welcomed everywhere ( Beer gardens welcomed them, and provided soft drinks ), and the Hilton was an excellent base for the vacation. The only reason that it doesn’t rate a 5, is that it is not a quaint local hotel, and if I was in Munich for one night I would want to be right in the city centre – I wish I could give a 4.5.

Great staff and location From the moment we arrived the staff was unbelievably friendly. Our rooms were clean, modern and welcoming. We had 2 rooms for 2 couples and both were great. The location is the best if you want to get around by train, subway, bus or taxi. Bar was good, only ate in the resturarant once it was very pleasant. Had a quick breakfast in the lounge on morning, it was great. Definately worth the money. Made the end of our 3 week road trip the best.

fantastic We stayed, my husband, 11 y.o. son and I for 1 night. This hotel was exquisite. The room was large, as we had a rollaway added to our room. Not only were the rooms and the amenities fantastic, the staff was terrific. The concierge was extremely helpful answering all our questions and making suggestions. From the bellhop to the concierge, they were great. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation. It was on the S-Bahn stop, and 2 stops (or walking distance) to the Marienplatz. The buffet breakfast in the morning was well worth the price. A great place to stay.

A Very Good Hotel with a great location We stayed two nights in June and were upgraded to the Executive floor. Great Hospitality in the executive lounge,great pre dinner drinks. Good size modern room, comfy beds and a very good bathroom with robes and room safe. The hotel has good S Bahn connections from the airport S8 , and is only two stops from Marianplatz, so very good location. A very good Hotel with friendly helpful staff

Nice hotel We stayed here also on points in July of 2005 -- we were pleasantly surprised! Rooms were nice, modern and very comfortable. While the hotel is located right above the S-bahn -- the historical section of Munich is only a nice 15 minute of so walk. Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel We stayed here two nights on points during Oktoberfest. The hotel is what you would expect from a hilton with all the American ammenities. It was very nice and clean. We stayed on the 3rd floor...newest. The S-bahn was downstairs and extremely easy to use.

Super, super convenient Great hotel in a great location with absolutely super convenience (via S & U Bahn) to everything... We stayed here for 2 nights in mid October on HHonors points and will definitely stay here again when returning to Munich.
