"Great stay at a very nice hotel"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the K + K. It's a little on the outskirts of the main downtown area, but the subway station is only a block or two away with a bus stop across from the main lobby entrance. It was about 10 minutes from the hotel to Marianplatz, the main Munich plaza. There are not a lot of restaurants in the area (except McDonald's next door), but plenty of Bavarian bakeries and fruit stands to grab a pastry, pretzel or other snack.
The rooms were clean and a good size with two twin beds together (common in European rooms) and a bistro-size table. Very small tv which didn't bother us since we don't watch much on vacation (besides all channels except CNN were in German). The bathroom was medium sized with full tub and shower and fairly powerful hairdryer (not common in European rooms!). The fixtures looks new.
The staff spoke very good English and were helpful in providing us directions. The hotel breakfast was a little pricey for a small buffet, but offers traditional Bavarian breakfast foods (you have to pay for condiments, though!). The hotel also provides two computers in the lobby with free internet access if you need to check your email while away from home. I think they offer free wireless in the rooms, as well, but I'm not 100% sure.
Our only complaint was late housekeeping service on a day when we wanted to rest in the room about 2 or 3 p.m. We had to wait in the lobby for her to finish. It wasn't a big deal and could probably be easily corrected.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we will probably choose other K + K hotels in other European cities based on this visit.

"Great Experience"
We had a terrific time in Munich. The K&K was better than I expected. The rooms were very nice for hotels in Europe. Especially in this price range. I have stayed in many hotels in Europe and this was the largest room for the money. I felt entirely safe in the city. I had no difficulty getting around even though no one in our group of four could speak a word of German. The hotel was a block from a train station (both surface and underground trains), just a few stops from the main train station and Marienplatz. In the lobby, there were computer stations with complimentary internet AND coffee and tea available near the bar. Great convience and money saver for me to have free email. The hotel served a great continental breakfast complete with champagne. When you stay here, you should buy a "partner" pass for the subway, you can have up to 5 people in your group, unlimited use of the subway/trains/public buses for a set number of days. It made it easy to pop on the Ubahn to change clothes or drop off cameras, etc. Then go back to the city for dinner or shopping, etc. Loved it and would definately stay at other K&K hotels.

"Fantastic!"
Stayed here with my fiancee for his birthday, the reservation/reception staff were fantastic. I received a free upgrade to the presedential suite as I am a travel agent & the room was fantastic, absolutely huge! They helped us work the S & U Bahn, which is just outside - fantastic & also opposite is a shop for juice, crisps, sweets, cigarrettes etc & theres a McDonalds round the corner for midnight feasts, the mini-bar was also very reasonable. Beers are 3euros approx. The breakfast was great they had everything continental & some hot food aswell. There is free internet access all the time for guests. The room was cleaned & towels changed everyday. Once you get the hang of the U bahn go see top sights at the Marienplatz approx 4 stops & the Englishengarten another 4 stops which is absolutely beautiful - hire a pedalo for 5euros for half an hour & cruise the beautiful lake. All in all it was an amazing weekend.

"Would recommend"
We stayed here for 3 nights in December and we could not fault this hotel. Very clean, nice room and bathroom, good breakfast, free internet, all day long coffee and tea available. The metro station is 4-5 meters away; 10 minutes away from city center. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel.

"Perfect for the price!!"
Stayed for 5 nights. Room was clean. Staff was excellent & helpful. Excellent location near U-bahn stop. Would stay again. One thing I don't understand reading the reviews about this hotel is people like that it's close to a MacDonalds! Why would you fly all the way to Munich and eat at a MacDonalds when right at the U-bahn stop they have incredible pastries and cakes?
