"Wonderful Hotel"
Although we booked our hotel through Expedia I would never recommend anyone using their services, for a hotel or otherwise. That said, we recently visited Munich for the Christmas markets. The location of the Maritim Hotel is excellent, just a short block from the train station and only a few minutes walk to the Marienplaz. The staff was warm and friendly upon our arrival and even arranged for us to have 3 rooms next to one another. The rooms were clean, nicely appointed, and very quiet. I did have a problem with the room being too hot, even with the heat turned off, but this was easily remedied by opening the window.
We spent a few evenings in the lounge unwinding from a long day of sightseeing. The service in the lounge was excellent; however, like us, if you do not smoke I would recommend that you sit nearest to the entrance as Germany has not yet banned smoking in restaurants.
I would not hesitate to stay again at the Maritim and I certainly recommend it to others who are looking for a nice hotel in a good location with good service.

This Hotel is just a short distance from the railway station and ideal for the city. Good friendly staff and comfortable rooms.
I have stayed at this hotel three times over the last ten years. I hope to return again soon.

"Great Hotel"
The hotel was really nice and the rooms where big. If you like to have a big bed we went with the twins, they where put together anyways and made a nice size bed. We where not sure how big the double would be. We had a couch and chair and table and chairs in our room, so that will tell you how much room we had. Tv also but no English but CNN was. As my son teaches there he brought over his laptop with movies for when we just wanted to sit and relax at night..The pool area was nice and very clean. The staff was great and spoke some English which helped us. Food in the bar area was not so expensive but the breakfast in the morning, very expensive but very lavish. We tried it one morning and for sure, lots of food. Hotel sits back from the streets so you dont hear as much noise. You are close to everything, walking distance to all the great stores and churches and also be sure to go to the great beer place, called, Hofbrauhaus. You will meet a lot of people and the place is always hoping. There is a lot of Irish pubs and English pubs also, they where a lot of fun also. But what you read about the hotel is very true to its word, as far as we where concerned. I would go back there, but it was expensive.
They also do not have a coffee maker in the rooms, but my son brought a kettle and i had brought my own tea and coffee. Love Minich and would love to see it in the summer with all the flowers. We where there Dec 22 till the 31st, Xmas was awesome to see there with all the lights lit up through the streets.

"Good choice"
Stayed 3 nights during during the Oktoberfest with a tour group and was pleased with everything from room to staff to breakfast. It was a far cry from the Maritrim in Frankfurt which was a real dump. The Munich hotel is modern, and is in a perfect location.

"Great!"
I have just returned from a weekend away in Munich where I stayed at the Maritim Hotel.
Firstly I have to say that this is a 4 star hotel that we got a great deal on through Expedia. It was around 1/4 of the advertised price!
For a 4 star hotel it was excellent. The room was clean and modern and was definatley at a 4 star level. The service of staff was excellent. It is a 2 minute walk from the major train station and within a 20 minute walk of most of the sites of Munich.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
