"An allround great stay" We were staying for the Christmas period at this hotel. Check-in went smoothly. We got a room at the 17th floor, room 1707. These rooms are nicely refurbished and classic modern. The bed is huge and very comfy. the badroom is superbly clean and the shower is big. Indeed, I read the reviews before and it's an added value watching TV when taking a bath, they even put an extra speaker in the bathroom ensuring you won't miss a thing on TV. Actually, the website shows a bowl of appels in the room, well, we didn't see the bowl in the room but we got surprised twice from housekeeping. The 25th, they've put a chocolate Santa Claus on the desk and the 26th we found a little praline waiting for us. Also when we checked out, we got another chocolate surprise. Talking about the breakfast, there's wide choice with pretzels, croissants and multivitamin juice. The fruit isn't always fresh I must say. It's 17 EUR and you get what you pay for. The hotel features also a cocktailbar serving a nice selection of alcolholfree cocktails. The hotel has multilingual and attentive staff, they're very helpful. We booked online back in September and paid around 109 EUR room only, A great rate for a great hotel. We would certainly recommend this. The locaton is a little out of town, but the submay is a five minute walk and brings you in less than 20 minutes to the heart of the city.

"Stylish!" Spent 2 nights at this hotel on a business trip. Seems newly decorated, very modern design, nice quiet location. Only negative thing for me was that the breakfast room hasn't been renovated/updated and does not match the style of the new rooms. Also breakfast was not included and was definitely not worth 18 Euro. All in all extremely nice hotel, though, and I would definitely stay there again.

"Lovely hotel in a quiet location" We enjoyed a 4 night stay here in early June 2007. It didn’t start out well though. I had arranged a shuttle pickup from Munich Airport. They picked me up on time but I was delivered instead to the Sheraton Grand Hotel across the street. It was just a matter of walking across and a porter did help with my bags but it was still irritating after a 12 hour flight. They still charged me the €50 for shuttle pickup. Shuttle arrangements are done via email with the concierge so make sure you specify the “Bogenhausen” location if you want to be dropped off at the correct place. Our room was on the 17th floor. It was newly renovated – cabinets in stained Canadian maple, granite and glass in the bathrooms and a sleek modern design throughout. King bed was comfortable with the foam pillows I requested when booking. Wifi access (€18 for 24 hours), an ample desk and chair and good lighting made it easy to work in this room. Bathroom had separate shower and tub. Sink space was minimal. This bathroom had the same limitations as most hotels we stay at – no place to hang your towels! The shower was awesome tho, like standing under a waterfall. Being able to watch TV while taking a tub bath was nice but we couldn't figure out how to get the speakers to work in the bathroom. Our balcony had mesh netting to keep the birds from flying in or roosting. If you walk around the hotel, you’ll notice that the hotel actively discourages birds from roosting on their façade by installing spikes, wires or netting wherever birds might nest. Not very pretty but it works. The air conditioning worked well and was very quiet. There was adequate closet space with 3 drawers to store stuff. Also, there’s a built-in ironing board and pants press. Housekeeping cleaned room and replaced amenities and towels daily but it was often quite late – usually 4 or 5 PM. Room was nonsmoking but the carpet had cigarette burns. Minifridge contained minibar items but if you remove something, it automatically charges to your room. If you want to rent the fridge to put your stuff in, it’s €5 a day or €20/week. A sample of prices: €3 for beer or orange juice; €5 for a liter bottle of water. Our €150 corporate rate included breakfast buffet. It’s a huge buffet with both hot and cold items, meats, eggs, fruits, veggies, cereals and drinks. Normally the buffet is around €20 so if all you eat is cereal, yogurt and coffee, then it’s quite expensive. The restaurant is also renovated with cheery colors in yellow and orange. We never ate lunch or dinner at the hotel restaurant because there are so many other great places to eat near the hotel and in Munich. The hotel is nonsmoking except in the lobby bar area. The lobby is also quite cheery and often bustling with people. The concierge was available every time I needed one and the front desk staff, as well as the rest of the hotel staff, were all very helpful. The location of this hotel is in an upscale residential area with small offices, shops, and restaurants. Everything is an easy walk. There’s a Rewe market nearby to buy prepared items – salads, fruits, meats, cheeses and wine. Also the Papilello Italian Restaurant outside the rear entrance of the hotel is a great restaurant – good service, wonderful food and no waiting. The train station is ArabellaPark at the end of the U4 line. It’s a 10 minute stroll to the station and another 20 minute ride to downtown Munich. The concierge sells day tickets for €5 each which is very convenient. Parking is €20/day. There’s a Hertz down the street if you need to rent a car. Laundry service: We had a week’s worth of dirty clothes from traveling so we used the hotel’s laundry service. They pick up the dirties by 9AM and the clean clothes were delivered in our room by 6PM. Very convenient but expensive - €7/jeans or trousers; €6/shirt or blouse; €3/underwear; €7.50 to dryclean a pair of slacks. Room service is available 24 hrs, with a limited menu between 10:30PM and 5:30AM. We ordered munchies late one night – 2 orders of dim sum – and everything arrived in 20 minutes, still warm with all the dips and utensils. They also picked up the used dishes quickly. On Wednesday of our stay, there was an open air market behind the hotel. Lots of good food, meats, cheeses, flowers and homemade items. We stayed here because of a business meeting nearby. It’s a quiet area away from the busy, central touristy areas of Munich. This is a 3-star hotel but it had all the amenities and service of many 5-star hotels we’ve stayed. We would definitely stay here again.

"Good value, positive overall." Spent three nights at this hotel with my boyfriend just before the new year. Our stay was very pleasant and hassle free. We were given a wonderful room on the 21st floor with a great view. I read some other reviews complaining about a metal grid on the balcony but ours had a very light nylon one, barely there. The hotel is not very central but with Munich's excellent public transport this is not a problem. The pool/spa area is very nice too. Would recommend it.

"Decent hotel for business trips" I've stayed here a couple of times and the facilities and service are good. There's fast internet access in the rooms that can be charged to the room which is very convenient and I found that for working in the room in the evening it was comfortable and spacious. The hotel is also located close to shops and restaurants so you don't need to feel tied to the hotel menu and prices. I was on the 18th floor and the view over Munich is spectacular. There is a good pool and Wellness area but, like the rest of the hotel, could do with a bit of an overhaul.

"Fantastic, top marks" I travel a lot and this is probably one of the nicest hotels I have been to. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a very nice modern style, there isn't a detail missing and you can even watch television from the bath as the partition wall is a glass covered with a curtain that you can open and watch television while you relax. The rooms have both wireless and cable internet connection. The restaurant is fantastic and the breakfast selection is extremely good. The price was excellent as well. I would give this hotel 5 stars and the price I paid was that of a 3 star hotel! I would recommend this to anyone. The only downside is that it appears to be a bit far from the city centre but if you are going there on business, it doesn't matter because you will be getting taxis anyway and this way you will avoid the morning traffic.
